C-ECO and PreZero conclude a strategic MoU for AI-supported Circular Economy solutions in the Automotive Aftermarket
C-ECO and PreZero have signed an MoU to develop innovative data- and AI-based solutions for the circular economy in the Automotive Aftermarket.
The partnership brings together two companies with a shared strength: the consistent use of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence as enablers of the Circular Economy.
About C-ECO
With its service brand CoremanNet, C-ECO is one of the leading providers of core management services in the European Automotive Aftermarket. The company supports remanufacturers, wholesalers, and industrial partners in the identification, return, and evaluation of used vehicle parts. A key unique selling point of C-ECO is its strong IT expertise and the use of AI-based technologies for automated parts identification.
About PreZero
PreZero is one of Germany's leading circular economy companies. With around 4,800 employees, 120 locations, and approximately 1,800 vehicles, PreZero Germany offers a broad range of services that plays a key role in driving forward a functioning circular economy in Europe. The aim is to contribute to the raw material supply for German industry, strengthen its competitiveness, and measurably reduce strategic dependencies.
Content of the MoU
Under the MoU, the visual assessment of used parts will be combined with diagnostic, condition, and vehicle data. On this basis, decisions can be made regarding reuse, remanufacturing, or recycling.
This approach becomes particularly relevant against the backdrop of the newly adopted EU Regulation 2026/1738 on End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV-R). The regulation strengthens the reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling of valuable materials while simultaneously requiring significantly greater transparency of vehicle and component information from the point of dismantling.
"The new ELV Regulation confirms our strategic direction. AI-supported parts identification and data-based decisions will be decisive in the future for realizing the maximum economic and ecological value of vehicle components at the point of dismantling. Through the partnership with PreZero, we see the opportunity to further strengthen our offering for the dismantlers of end-of-life vehicles," explains Peter Bartel, Business Development at C-ECO.
With the MoU, C-ECO underlines its ambition to be the technology leader for intelligent core and component evaluation in the European Automotive Aftermarket.
